Terms of Service

Last updated 17 July 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of labrary (the "Service"), a project management tool for independent developers. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Who can use labrary

You may use labrary only if you can form a binding contract with us and are at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country if that is higher. Each account is for a single person. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account.

Your account

You agree to provide accurate information when you register and to keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and any access tokens you generate for the labrary MCP server, and for all activity that occurs through them. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.

Your content

You keep all rights to the projects, notes, and other content you create in labrary ("Your Content"). We do not claim ownership of it. You grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display Your Content solely so that we can operate and provide the Service to you. You are responsible for Your Content and for making sure you have the right to store it in labrary.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service for anything unlawful, or to store or transmit unlawful content;
  • attempt to access accounts, data, or systems that are not yours, or probe or breach any security or authentication measures;
  • disrupt or overload the Service, or circumvent rate limits, quotas, or other technical restrictions;
  • reverse engineer, resell, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by law;
  • use the Service to build a competing product by copying its features or content.

Service availability

labrary is offered on an "as is" and "as available" basis and may be changed at an early stage of development. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may suspend or discontinue the Service, at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to give notice of significant changes where practical, but we are not obliged to.

Third-party services

labrary connects to third-party services, including AI assistants such as Claude through the Model Context Protocol when you choose to connect them. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.

Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error free, or that any data will be preserved without loss. You are responsible for keeping your own backups of important content.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, labrary and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your account settings. Deleting your account permanently removes your account and Your Content. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to us or others.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [your jurisdiction], without regard to its conflict of law rules. The courts located in [your jurisdiction] will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service.
